Get back to the basics of living with these community classes which will bring you one step closer to being self sufficient. Come to the farm to learn from our local, community experts and go home with the skills you need to can your own jam, seed your own garden or tend your own bees. Each summer, our farm turns into an exploratory classroom filled with young farmers ready to learn and play. Our trained mentors fill the camps with real farm work such as harvesting vegetables, gathering eggs from the chickens, grooming the goats and tending the fields. Our curious campers also love climbing the trees, doing creative art projects and playing games revolving around farming and nature connection. We offer camps for ages 3-11, from June to August. For the first time, Fairview Garden will offer an after school program. Starting in September 2011 kids will be able to come and connect with the food they eat on a weekly basis. For more details, contact Sharon.
