Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, brings consumers and farmers together in a relationship of mutual support.  CSA projects have started at small farms across the country as a way to maintain environmentally and economically sustainable agriculture. Our program began in 1988 when CSAs were still relatively rare; back then Fairview Gardens was the second farm on the West Coast to offer a CSA.

What is a CSA Harvest Share?

A CSA Harvest Share contains seasonal, organically grown fruits and vegetables that are healthier, fresher, and tastier than what’s available in the supermarket.

Shareholders support a portion of the crops through a season long commitment, prepaying all or part of the cost so Fairview's farmers can purchase seeds and prepare fields in anticipation of the coming harvest.

Become part of our valued CSA community.  Receive weekly newsletters with recipes and helpful tips.  Enjoy regular farm visits and special CSA only events.

Every week on Tuesday or Thursday shareholders select produce from our market style display, arranged under the CSA roof at our farm stand from 2:00 to 6:30 pm.

As a member you have the choice of a large or a small share for the season(s).

  • Large shares are $36 per week and are designed for a family or two dedicated, vegetable loving cooks.
  • Small shares are $20 per week and work well for single folks and couples who cook most nights.

Delivery???

We know that other CSA's offer delivery, but we really value seeing and getting to know our shareholders.  Your weekly visit to the farm builds your connection to your food.  However, with that said, we know in our modern world, potential shareholders cannot make it to the farm so we are researching collaborations to begin delivery service. If you have a large group, workplace, neighborhood or organization that would like to be a part of the CSA, please email us at csa@fairviewgardens.org.  We need a minimum number of shareholders for delivery to become a reality.
